The Celebrate Team’s Final Working Day at Abaco

Celebrate Church IMPACT team’s final day in Abaco: a blend of hard work and well-earned relaxation. Linda and Terri share their heartfelt reflections from the team’s last moments on the island.

We had the chance to celebrate our new friendships and the opportunity to bless the incoming Abaco campers from the island.

The day began with the gift of another beautiful sunrise.

Tyler’s devotion this morning spoke of Jesus retreating to nature to commune with His Father. Our day progressed with many different jobs that we were assigned to complete on the Abaco campus. We were challenged to finish our tasks so we could enjoy the remainder of the day in the splendor of the Abaco beach, listening to God calling us “to go” with the sound of the waves.

We had an afternoon of free time which included snorkeling and shopping at a local souvenir shop featuring Bahamian-made crafts. The owner shared her story of God’s faithfulness to her family during hurricane Dorian.

We ended our final evening sharing our Impact stories with each other. It was a heartfelt experience.

"We expected something good, but God gave us something great."
