Home / Embrace IMPACT / What is Embrace IMPACT
To truly embrace someone, the hug goes both ways. No giver or receiver exists, as both give and receive at the same time. So is our desire with our Embrace IMPACT journeys to Haiti. Join us in living and serving with our Haitian community, discovering God’s global heart through reciprocal relationships. Be present, be observant, and be available to all the experiences and challenges. Embrace the culture and the inner-growth happening during your time in Haiti. Work alongside Haitian staff members from Many Hands for Haiti, assisting them in their Growing Community model. Our goal is to offer many cultural experiences such as pouring a concrete floor, planting trees, praying over families, food distributions, and more.
Teams will serve in the greater area of Pignon, located in the Northern Central Plateau of Haiti. A rural area with a tropical climate and rugged beauty, it is known for sugar cane and conga beans. It is an area of great need, with many living on less than $2 a day.
Many Hands for Haiti transforms communities by strengthening families through relationship-based programs in education, spiritual development, agronomy, safe homes, medical assistance, and economic development.
While on an Embrace IMPACT journey, you will stay on the Many Hands for Haiti campus located in the small community of Sylvain, just outside of Pignon. Accommodations are very comfortable, with space for teams of up to 24. The guesthouse has the following accommodations:
All participants under the age of 18 will require proof of parents or legal guardian consent. Please fill out the following form: Embrace IMPACT Permission For Travel.
