Many people started the day by seeing God’s beauty through a rainbow and beautiful sunrise! After that we made our way to the Kelly farm that we had been to previously this week. Everyone was excited to work hard on the farm. We split up in groups, some picking fresh vegetables that are served at local restaurants and local grocery stores. Others were feeding the chickens their breakfast and lunch. Another group was tearing down plants for the season and gardening new ones for the future. We also started a project where everyone had the opportunity to build a new hoop house. We are excited to see what God has planned for this green house, and it was exciting to start it from the ground up!

After a yummy lunch at the Kelly residence who welcomed all 22 of us with open arms, we then finished up our projects and headed back to camp. Back at camp, we had a bit of free time before our night activities began. A group headed to the basketball court, while others read, journaled, and had rich conversations on the beach.

Everyone then gathered into the vans in high spirits and headed to G2, the local youth group night on the island. Once we got there we prepared our hearts and minds for the children to arrive. Once they arrived the fun instantly began and sports were in full motion with our team and all of the kiddos ranging from 11-18. Rain then made its way in and we all headed inside to continue the fun. The next game on the agenda included balloons on everyone’s shoes and music blasting, the chaos continued. Shortly after the night took a wonderful shift into time of sharing and preaching from some of our very own missionaries. Shoutout to Ethan, Alondra, Kaitlynn, and Taylor. They were filled with the holy spirit and vulnerability to share their stories and give advice on how to be strong in faith through hardships and trials. It was just another beautiful and inspiring moment on this trip to see God work through these individuals.

Once again, we hopped in our vans and enjoyed another jam sesh, as these van rides have been some of the best conversations and moments on the trip. Arriving back at home, running in the rain, everyone came prepared to eat a later dinner tonight by our wonderful cooks. Each night has showcased incredible Bahamian food that we are sure going to miss. We were lucky enough to hear Lisa and Sam’s powerful stories during dinner since coming to the island with Many Hands. We ended the night with reflection and the main theme being how amazing the trip has been and how much love between our group has grown. Before heading to bed, we did everyone’s favorite and worshiped an amazing God led by Alondra. We can’t believe it is already the end of the week, and we can’t wait to see you all and prepare our hearts to share our incredible experience!
