Work and Stories

It was full and productive day for the teams as they witnessed, hardship, beauty, need, and hope during their visits with community members.

Today’s blog is about incredible work done and stories told to our team.  Our team was broken up into 4 groups (electrical, dry-wall, painting, and beautifying) this morning and much was accomplished both at camp and in the community.

Time for fun and swimming was also included in the full and productive day!

Our afternoon consisted of stories learned during food delivery.  Two teams set out into the community and visited roughly 8 different homes where we blessed those in need of necessities while learning about their stories and what they’d been through.  We witnessed hardship and beauty, need and hope, with each visit ending in prayer for those we visited.

We also had fun celebrating a team member’s birthday with cake and ice cream after supper (and some singing)!

It was a great day with memories made and much learned about the community.  We are all processing the IMPACT today’s events had on us.

Until next time……
